i truly dont understand fourth position. like really, explain it to me. no, okay, i get it in terms of a CHOREOGRAPHIC CHOICE, as our friend has selected it here. what i dont get is fourth postion as anything that you should ever do in a technique class. really. what is it warming up? the distortion of your pelvis? the eventual disintegration of your knee cartilage? truly, i welcome thoughts on this topic which is BURNING its way into the minds of dance professionals everywhere.
actually, there is this incredible merce cunningham dance called Pond's Way where the whole company does these freaky fourth position slides all around the stage. it is quite beautiful. the lighting in this video reminds me of it too.
i am tired. cant sleep cuz i get picked up by the car to go to the airport soon. i just ate all the crackers.

This is katherina, your precursor. There are by now so many texts that I could not find my own last posting, but I have to catch the opporunity to tell you how much I enjoyed your comments. You write all the stuff I could never write (being sort of a non dancee with extremely rare exceptions). And I regret that we could not met, but yesterday night would have been quite a drag I guess. Also becuase the overwhelming freak show by kraus expells you into a completely dead area at this time of night. Did you see it and how did you find it (also asking others)?
